Bona Ubuntu Bags

As suggested in our name, the label primarily designs and produces a variety of bags. Our designs are inspired by and centred around the beauty and diversity of South Africa. The principal fabric used in the making of our products is Three Cats De Gama shweshwe, which is unique to the province of the Eastern Cape in South African. We are proud to run a no waste workshop, which means that we buy our shweshwe from bins, guaranteeing small batches of a specific colour available. Our workshop leftovers are also turned into beautiful patchwork and products.

Due to the nature of our workshop and with all items being lovingly handmade, slight variations may occur – with each piece having its own personality.
